Forestry Training Institute (FTI) Olmotonyi is government owned organization under Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism (MNRT) established in 1937 as a Forestry Training School. Since its establishment and particularly from the 1980s the Institute has grown in both size and quality. Its services have reached many countries in Eastern, Western, Central and Southern Africa. The Institute is registered by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) with registration number REG/ANE/007 and has been granted full accreditation in December 2005 to offer National Technical Awards (NTA). The Institute currently offers Basic Certificate (NTA 4) in Forestry, Technician Certificate (NTA 5) in Forestry and Ordinary Diploma (NTA 6) in Forestry as well as short courses and consultancies in all environmental related fields including beekeeping and climate change

How to Apply
Ordinary Diploma Courses in Forestry (NTA Level 6)
The candidate must at least have:
Advanced Level Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent with at least one principal pass in Biology or Chemistry and subsidiary pass in Mathematics, Geography or Physics.
OR
Technician Certificate in Forestry(NTA Level 5) or its equivalent. The Certificate must be from institutions recognized by NACTE
Technician Certificate Course in Forestry(NTA Level 5)
The candidate must, at least, have an Ordinary Level Certificate of Secondary Education with credits in Biology or Chemistry and any other two science subjects.
Prospective candidates are required to have an adequate English Language proficiency.
