Oloirien Valley Founded by a former government teacher, this private has grown from 12 pupils to 142. It started as a nursery in 1996 and primary classes were added in 2000. The provides classes from Nursery to Primary 7 and has 12 teachers and eight classrooms. “Oloirien” means teak in Maasai.

“Oloirien” means teak in Maasai. Academic performance has always been good and the has been awarded certificates of merit for being in the top ten schools in the region in the national exams. The would like to expand and has plans to build a second storey on an existing building which will house classrooms, staff rooms, computer room, and a library. Most of the children come from low-income families which cannot provide much additional support to the . The School is situated in Oloirien Village, Enaboishu Division, Kiranyi Ward (W) District in Arusha Region.

It is near Ngaramtoni settlement which is about ten Kilometres away from Arusha Town

There is a big sign post on the left side of the road, as you travel up from Arusha town, bearing the name of it school and its address. Before you reach the small road along which the school is situated 400m from the main road, you will find a small hotel, Texas Inn, also on the left side of the road.

And before Texas Inn, a few metres away as you come from Arusha town, there is a road leading to TPRI (Tropical Pesticides Research Institute).

A Short History of the School:

It was started as a small Nursery class of twelve pupils by Mrs. Ester Frederick Kinabo, a Secondary School teacher in 1996.

Slowly and gradually it expanded and grew into a Primary school. On 19/04/2000 it was registered as a pre and primary school under article 26 of the education Act. No. 25 of 1978.

Since then the school has produced five batches of class seven graduates, who have all managed to join different private and government schools in the country.
